Shrimper Practive

The 10 & under swimmers will arrive with a parent & practice for 45 minutes.

The 11 & up swimmers will arrive & practice for 45 minutes.

Shrimper Practice for 30 min

The 11 & up swimmers will arrive & meet with the coaches. They will then swim a 50 free (required) & any other of the 4 strokes of competitive swimming. We are looking at current abilities, attitude, coachability & willingness to respectfully participate in group instruction.  Although completion of 50 meters of freestyle is required to make the team a select number of swimmers that can complete 50 meters in any fashion i.e. doggie paddle, swim underwater, or any combination of the above & are highly motivated to learn may be offered the opportunity for 4-5 swim lessons at no cost prior to a supplemental tryout opportunity.

The shrimpers (5-6 year old's unless a returning swimmer) will arrive with a parent and meet with the coaches.  They will then work with the coaches to determine their maturity and readiness to learn to swim independently.  We are looking for coachability and willingness to participate in group instruction.
